Corral del Rey Hotel in Seville Spain - Scott Livengood

A Newly Recommended Hotel in Seville, Spain

Article Published by: andrewharper.com

Corral del Rey is a 13-room hideaway that greatly resembles the riads of Marrakech and Fes, Corral del Rey is situated in a maze of narrow streets in Barrio Alfalfa. A new venture by the Reid family, who owns the Hacienda de San Rafael, this idyllic country property is 45 minutes south of Seville.

The hotel comprises two 17th-century buildings, set across the street from each other, which were once private residences. Rooms are snug but cozy and decorated with great flair by Kuky Mora-Figueroa — otherwise known as Mrs. Reid. Most desirable are the Pool Terrace Suites with their own outdoor spaces and plunge pools. The breakfast area has a bar where tapas are served in the evening; the appealing lounge offers an honor bar. There is also a rooftop pool for use by all guests.
