DEWEY’S BAKERY EXPANDS PRODUCT PORTFOLIO—INTRODUCING NEW, SOUTHERN-INSPIRED COOKIE AND CRACKER FLAVORS TO NATIONAL LINE

Winston-Salem, NC (January 15, 2018) – Dewey’s Bakery is launching seven new flavors of their beloved, southern-inspired cookies and crackers and debuting a line of Moravian Cookies at the Winter Fancy Food Show in San Francisco at Booth #530.

Inspired by classic bakery recipes and reminiscent of true Southern hospitality, new soft baked cookie flavors include Birthday Cake with Sprinkles, Brown Butter Chocolate Chip, Cinnamon Roll, and Dark Chocolate Mint with Chocolate Chips. New savory cracker flavors include Cajun Cheddar, Tomato Basil, and Sriracha Cheddar. Every product is baked in the homemade tradition using real, simple ingredients.

The new flavors complement the bakery’s premium line of savory crackers and deliciously indulgent cookies, which were launched last year at the Summer Fancy Food Show and are available nationwide at select specialty and grocery stores.

“Dewey’s Bakery has been privileged to serve our local community in Winston-Salem, North Carolina for 88 years, and now we’re proud to take our cookies and crackers nationwide,” said Scott Livengood, owner and CEO of Dewey’s Bakery. “It’s especially gratifying that our new offerings have been so well-received.”

Dewey’s Bakery is also launching a line of Moravian Cookies in March of 2018.  Available in 9-ounce boxes for an SRP of $4.99, these crispy, buttery, wafer-thin cookies will include a range of irresistible flavors: Meyer Lemon, Triple Ginger, Salted Caramel, Brownie Crisp, Brown Butter with Sea Salt, Toasted Coconut, and Pumpkin Spice, along with Certified Gluten Free versions in Meyer Lemon, Triple Ginger, Brownie Crisp and Salted Caramel.

After almost ninety years as a local favorite, Dewey’s Bakery plans to continue distribution nationally through new retail partnerships in 2018, while happily serving the local Winston-Salem community.
